To help us answer faster, please include your device model, your iOS version, and the app version shown at the bottom of the Settings tab.
Open the Text tab in the editor and check Speech language. It is set to Detect automatically by default, which is right most of the time but can be fooled by music or a short clip. Pick the language explicitly and the video is transcribed again from scratch.
Use the Sync slider in the Text tab to shift every caption at once. If only one line is wrong, tap it and correct its timing there. If the app tells you the timings were estimated, the recogniser returned none of its own — in that case the lines are spread evenly and will drift, and nudging them by hand is the fix.
The on-device model covers the major languages, and Detect automatically picks the one it hears. If a language has no model available, the app says so instead of guessing, and you can still write the captions by hand.
Exporting opens the iOS share sheet. Tap Save Video to put it in Photos, or send it straight to another app. If you dismissed the sheet by accident, tap Share again in the editor — the file is still there and does not need re-exporting.
The recognition model is about 145 MB and downloads once. The app starts fetching it as soon as you open it, over Wi-Fi, so that the wait has usually already happened by the time you import a video. After that it is on your device for good.
Yes — three styles are free to export with, and everything else in the app is free to use: importing, transcription, editing every line, placing the captions and building your own styles. A subscription is needed to export using one of the premium styles or a style you built yourself.
Open Settings → Restore purchases, or tap Restore on the paywall. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account that made the purchase. If it still does not unlock, email us with the date of purchase.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. On your iPhone open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, select AI Captions Maker and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the period you already paid for stays active until it ends. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in and choose the purchase. We are not able to issue refunds ourselves.
No. The video you pick is copied into the app's own storage on your device, and recognition runs there. We have no servers and never see your footage. The one exception is described in the Privacy Policy: if a language has no on-device model, the app can fall back to Apple's speech recognition, which processes that audio on Apple's side.
Email us from the address you want us to look up and we will handle the request. What we can act on is described in the Privacy Policy.
