Woofer

Terms of Use

Last updated: 9 September 2026

These terms govern your use of the Woofer: Bass Booster & EQ iPhone app, published by Mikita Kharoshka ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, delete the app.

What the app does

The app plays audio and shapes it as it plays: a bass shelf below 80 Hz, a six-band equalizer with a preamp, and a set of presets. It plays two kinds of thing — audio files you import from your own device, and tracks streamed from a third-party catalogue.

It cannot process audio playing in other apps. iOS does not permit that, so the equalizer applies only to what plays inside this app. Nothing in these terms promises otherwise.

Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, redistribute or resell the app or any part of it, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.

Subscriptions and payment

Your own files

You choose which audio files to import, and you are responsible for having the right to use them. Files are copied into the app's storage on your device and are removed when you remove them or delete the app.

Catalogue content

Tracks in the catalogue are streamed from third-party services and are neither hosted, owned, curated nor sold by us. Availability is decided by those services and can change or disappear without notice, and access to any particular track is not part of what a subscription buys.

Use the app only for content you are entitled to listen to. Downloading, recording or redistributing third-party content where you have no right to do so is a breach of these terms and of the terms of whoever provides it, and is your responsibility alone.

No affiliation

We are an independent developer. This app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or certified by Apple, Google or YouTube. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used here only to describe what the app works with.

Hearing and volume

The app is capable of raising the level of what you are listening to, by up to 12 dB in the bass and across the equalizer's bands. Sustained loud playback can damage hearing. Set the level so that it is comfortable, and use the preamp to pull a boosted curve back rather than raising the system volume to compensate. You are responsible for the volume you choose.

Availability and changes

The app depends on iOS audio behaviour and on third-party services we do not control, either of which may change at any time. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features, though we will not knowingly remove something you are actively paying for without making that clear.

Disclaimer and liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or every file.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the app is limited to the amount you actually paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here affects the statutory consumer rights you have where you live.

Termination

This licence ends if you stop complying with these terms, or when you delete the app. Sections on liability, trademarks and content responsibility survive.

Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Any claim that the app fails to conform to a warranty is our responsibility, not Apple's, subject to the disclaimers above.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially, the updated version is published on this page with a new date at the top. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the change.
